2つの道に違いはない

今度も『べリキュー!』ネタ。
2008年4月5日放送分『べリキュー!』で、真野ちゃんが引用していたフロスト(Robert Frost:1874-1963)の格言は以下のもの。
「森の分かれ道では人の通らぬ道を選ぼう。すべてが変わる」


元ネタは、Robert Frost が発表した "THE ROAD NOT TAKEN" の一節(らしい)。

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,


And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I -
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

ちなみに Frost が "THE ROAD NOT TAKEN" を作った背景には、過去の詩で使われてた表現形式 The Choice of the Two Paths" に反対する意味があるとか。
他にも例の詩を作ったことには色々背景があるみたいだが、俺には良くわからない(馬鹿)。
